TrustArc GDPR Privacy Workshops

October 11, 2017

Margaret Alston, TrustArc Consulting Program Director, SF GDPR Privacy Workshop

We have completed our first set of events (6) in our ongoing GDPR Privacy Workshop series. Speakers discussed how to overcome many of the challenges that organizations are facing with GDPR compliance. While presenting case studies on how organizations plan to achieve GDPR compliance, TrustArc helped participants work through several complicated hypotheticals. Two of the areas that have generated lively discussions were Article 30 compliance and consent.

Participants were noted as saying:

Well informed speakers, timely content and good mix of attendees. Great to hear how other companies are approaching GDPR compliance and see some of the solutions available to help.
TrustArc consistently delivers high quality, informative and timely events. This workshop covered all the key GDPR issues and the speakers were knowledgable and happy to answer a wide range of questions from the audience.
Awesome event – the content was great and it was very helpful to learn from the TrustArc consultant who had lots of hands-on experience with GDPR implementations.

After the deeper dive of Article 30 requirements and DPIA best practices, Ogletree Deakins followed with a discussion about the requirements for HR Data under the GDPR. Again, participants provided several thoughtful hypotheticals that initiated great conversation amongst other attendees.
