RiskIQ Joins TRUSTe to Help Businesses Power Trust in Mobile Apps

October 15, 2013

Marketing Director, RiskIQ

The growth of mobile, data and cloud-based services has permanently changed our computing landscape.  Yet, the need to ensure that these services are secure and privacy compliant remains the same. Combining our complementary strengths in application discovery, monitoring and privacy risk management with TRUSTed Apps Enterprise Edition, RiskIQ and TRUSTe jointly help customers keep an eye on the hundreds, if not thousands, of mobile apps they own, that are distributed across multiple platforms and application stores.

Our mobile app solution is aimed at taking some of the burden off of mobile app developers, app store managers and security teams, by making it easier to discover and track mobile apps across multiple app stores, monitor for unnecessary permission usage, unauthorized brand usage or copy cat applications.

Food for thought: 3 out of 4 of smartphone users have privacy concerns when using mobile apps.  8 out of 10 avoid using smartphone apps that they don’t believe protect their online privacy.

We are happy to be participating in TRUSTe’s “Powering Trust” roadshow series, which kicked off in San Francisco last month and made a stop in NY last week. We were on a panel tackling the issues of managing 3rd party mobile vendor behavior and lack of visibility over one’s mobile apps (and ads) across multiple app stores.

Follow the conversation online: #PoweringTrustRoadshow and don’t miss us tomorrow at our roadshow stop in London.
